Life is beautiful, life is exciting, life is rewarding, but life is also hard especially when you have big a dream and vision. And making meaningful dreams come true is what fuels our motivation, fires up our soul and meets our human needs of making a significance.
Finding and following the vision that will make your life meaningful is not so easy. How can you put your calling into words, make a purposeful plan that guides you forward and help you overcome any obstacles? Do you know how to use your potential and strengths to succeed in reaching your desired outcomes? How will you keep yourself motivated even when facing challenges? What will make you satisfied and succeed? These are a few questions to think about when your setting goals for yourself.
I would have benefited from professional support and guidance already earlier in my life. I've done many conscious life changes: rebuilt my identity, worked on my confidence, practiced positive thinking, cultivated optimism, built a fulfilling lifestyle, progressed my career, coped with work fatique, and started a long-distance relationship which I never imagined for myself.
Let's say I've managed pretty well. Then I hit my bottom. Panic. I felt like I was in a dead-end and didn't know what to do. I know I wanted to make changes in my career to live the life I wanted to create for myself and with my partner. I got overwhelmed by the numerous choices and options I could make for myself. I didn't know where to begin or how to go forward. Dead-end. I put pressure on myself and underestimated my capabilities. Asking for help helped me lift myself up, see opportunities and come up with an exciting plan.
Now I have new techniques which not only help me, but which I can pass on to my clients.
Have you heard about coaching? It's trending around the world and you might have encountered conversations, articles, adds, and workshops around coaching topics and tools. Sounds interesting but when coaching can truly be useful and bring value to you? Here are three common situations which I have experienced myself as well.
1. 'I have a million choices'
The world is full of possibilities. For many people anything is possible once you just know where to focus on. Do you feel like you're interested in too many things and want to progress various interests at the same time? But deep down you know that you don't have time, energy and resources to do everything you'd want to.
Coaching will help you to
clarify your thoughts align them with your internal dreams
narrow down your ideas and prioritize them
make realistic and motivating plans to progress what you want deep inside of you
2. 'I only know what I don't want'
It's often easier to know what you don't want than what you actually want. Ever been to this situation? Yep. I feel you. Focusing on what you don't want doesn't take you very far. But it's not all bad. You can use this awareness to shorten your options list.
Coaching will help you to
shift your thinking from what you don't want to what you want
practice your mindset and seeing new opportunities
come up with an exciting future vision and action plan
3. 'I'm good but it's not enough'
Many live a good life. They settle where it feels comfortable, or not even that comfortable but they are nervous or resistant about making any changes though they would make their life more rewarding and satisfying. Actually only 3 % write down their goals and 1 % review them. Most people settle for dreaming about a better life, better job, better relationship, better something.
I was in a good life: I had a stable life plan, I was in a good relationship and job surrounded by friends and interesting hobbies. But I felt I could live a more fulfilling life. In other words, I didn't want to settle for 'good' when my intuition was telling me I could have so much more to live for. So, my conscious self-exploration journey began and I started making those aforementioned life changes – becoming the person and professional I wanted to be and finding ways to live wholeheartedly. Without this personal development from raising self-awareness to making powerful decisions and changes, I wouldn't be living my best life now.
Coaching can simply make you
improve your life quality and satisfaction
use your time and efforts where it makes a difference
feel happier.
and a whole lot more!
